British PetroleumBP continued to extend tests on oil well structures in the Gulf of Mexico to ensure the well is free from cracks in the sea base.

These measures were taken following the success of this giant oil companies to stop leakage of oil from the seabed wells underway since April last with the installation of the hood (cover).

Testing with multiple wellbore pressure data recorder, which gave valuable information will continue until Sunday (07/18/2010), “said Commander of Coast Guard, Thad Allen.

Immediately after the completion of this analysis phase, BP will open a new cover and began pouring the oil into the production of two ships in the sea, “said Allen.

This test series has been going on since Thursday when the throttle is closed tightly and managed to stop the leakage of oil from the seabed wells into the Gulf of Mexico for the first time since the oil pollution disaster occurred in April.

Until now, BP has spent at least $ 3.5 billion fund to finance treatment of oil pollution.

This global oil company also has set aside $ 20 billion to pay compensation to victims of oil pollution disasters.

Before BP managed to stop the contamination of this oil, this problem could roll into a political issue in the United States and England.
