BP prolongs tests on oil well structure as cap holds

BP continued to extend tests on oil well structures in the Gulf of Mexico to ensure the well is free from cracks in the sea base.
These measures were taken following the success of this giant oil companies to stop leakage of oil from the seabed wells underway since April last with the installation of the hood (cover).

BP boss Tony Hayward get scathing criticism from some parties as he attends yacht race in Britain. Rating agency Fitch Ratings yesterday for the second time in a month again lowered rating British oil company British Petroleum (BP) to two levels above ‘junk’.
According to Fitch’s reduction from AA to BBB rating it as a response due to growing fears of adverse effects of oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico and the increasing pressure on the giant oil companies to address environmental damage. Previous...
